Let’s start with the adage that I’m using now: R-E-L-A-X ..I feel like Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers when he told fans to chill out after a few loses last year before they spun off a win streak. Starting with myself.
Ok, so where is thing going to go? First, it’s certainly going to happen. The question becomes how much warm air comes into the storm over the morning hours, and is the cold air too stingy that it holds on? I’m leaning on the warm air coming into play around mid-afternoon and changing everything over to rain by 2-3pm. So, were talking anywhere from a inch to 2 inches up in NCC and smaller amounts downstate.
Again, this is not a coastal storm pulling cold air INTO the storm. This is an overrunning event that is pulling WARM air down south INTO the storm. There is no High pressure aloft to hold the storm in place, or drive colder air into the storm from Canada.
So, this storm will be MESSY. It will be snowy in the morning, a mix in the early afternoon, and then rain the rest of the way with temperatures shooting past 40 degrees.
I’ll have a FINAL CALL map out tomorrow morning. For now, this is how I think it will play out in the graphics below:
