After some considerable hope that the storm was going to ease with rain/wind amounts yesterday, basically that hope is no more. Now, this will not be a horrendous, Hurricane Sandy type of deal for anyone (some have compared this to that…WRONG!), it’s your typical Nor’easter. Rain amounts will vary but be heavier downstate towards the coast. s We’re talking about 1.5 upstate with amounts closer to 2 and in some spots heavier.
The low will be pressing northeast over the next few hours and then spawn off the coast. The heaviest time period will be from late tonight and all day tomorrow. I’m linking the NOAA briefing package because it’s so comprehensive. It really will show you everything.
Travel tomorrow to work and school will be treacherous. All I can say is go “SLOW“. There could be school delays. Depending on the severity, the high mark of this storm will be from 1am in the morning to 3pm tomorrow afternoon. Obviously, in the heart of the school day. My gut is that there will be some delays.

Have a wonderful day!
